Mark Harter — Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Harter has over 25 years of experience in starting, running, and funding technology companies. He has led startup and existing operating businesses as an operating executive and investor, where he has raised in excess of $200 million in funding. He has been the President and/or CEO of several startup and early stage companies where he managed payrolls of over 150 persons. Previously, Mr. Harter was CEO of a boutique investment bank and private equity firm concentrating investment activities in the Internet, telecommunications, and semiconductor sectors in the U.S. and Europe. In the U.S., he engineered and oversaw the acquisition of the first retail wireless home networking company by Cypress Semiconductor (NYSE:CY). In Europe, he managed a number of technology and manufacturing projects, including satellite television systems, paging systems, and cellular systems, and he developed and refurbished a number of manufacturing facilities. In this capacity, he worked with major Western companies, including Ford Motor Company, Coca-Cola, Anchor Glass, and Glenayre Communications. Mr. Harter received a dual Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in Economics and Philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley.
Scott Tachiki — Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Tachiki has 18 years of business experience as an executive officer, consultant, attorney, and CPA. Mr. Tachiki advises businesses in strategic planning, business development, and corporate finance. His previous experience includes specializing in the financial services industry at Deloitte & Touche and in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and at Howard Rice Nemerovski Canady Falk & Rabkin. Mr. Tachiki also served as VP of Business Development at LearningGate.com, where he managed software development and successfully structured, negotiated, and closed the sale of the company. Mr. Tachiki served on the board of the George Washington High School Basketball Foundation and coached high school basketball for seven years. Mr. Tachiki received a JD from the Boalt Hall School of Law at UC Berkeley and a BS in Business Administration at UC Berkeley.
Christina Seelye — Vice President of Worldwide Sales
Ms. Seelye has over 20 years experience selling software and consumer electronics products to major national retail accounts. Prior to joining 4DGP, she served as President and CEO of Avanquest Software Publishing, part of Avanquest Software SA (Euronext: AVQ), Paris, France. Ms. Seelye managed the U.S. executive team and led a team of 100 employees responsible for 50 percent of the SBX Eurolist 250 Corporation's global revenue, in addition to serving on their corporate board. She has been widely featured and quoted in over 100 media outlets. Having served on domestic and global boards, Ms. Seelye has sophisticated Board of Directors knowledge.
Jonathan Gaines — Senior Vice President
Mr. Gaines is responsible for leading 4D Global Partners´ channel partnerships and developing strategies that accelerate revenue in the consumer and small business sectors. Joining the Company in June 2010, he brings over 20 years of leadership experience in worldwide sales, marketing, brand-building, new product launches and team building. Under his sales leadership he has achieved record results and established global partnerships with leading Telcos, Retailers, MSOs, BPOs, OEMs, Broadband Providers, and Software companies. Mr. Gaines previously held Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing positions at PlumChoice, iYogi and SupportSquad where his charter was to execute and manage both domestic and international sales and marketing initiatives.
William Taylor — Vice President of Business Development
Mr. Taylor has spent over 20 years in the telecom and technology sectors, most recently as an executive with a cellular MVNO. Mr. Taylor has a wealth of high-level senior executive experience and relationships in the cellular and electronics industries. He was an early pioneer in the cellular telephone industry and cofounded a publicly traded corporation that was a reseller of more than 200,000 cellular subscribers in various CSGAs across the country. His company produced well over 300M in sales, putting the company in Inc. Magazine's “Top Ten Fastest Growing Young Public Companies” list. Before joining 4DGP, Mr. Taylor was a consultant to various new telecommunications and technology businesses assisting in the strategy, launch, and early stage growth of telecom enterprises. Mr. Taylor received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance from Rutgers University in New Jersey.
Robert Nattenberg — Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Nattenberg oversees all technology related issues for 4DGP. In this capacity, he focuses on determining product and technology alignment and suitability for potential products to be developed by 4DGP under the For Dummies brand and develops and vets For Dummies product user interfaces and designs. Mr. Nattenberg has over 20 years of technology related experience with companies, including IBM, Unisys, Arbor Software, and Stanford University, among others. At Arbor software, Mr. Nattenberg was a founding engineer and solely developed the Excel based user interface to Essbase, the world's first multidimensional database that defined and entire new product database platform (OLAP). Most recently, Mr. Nattenberg was the founding CTO for YouNoodle, a social networking web site for student entrepreneurs. Mr. Nattenberg's technology focus has been user interface design and development. Mr. Nattenberg is a graduate of California State Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo where he received a B.S. degree in Computer Science, cum laude.
